TowerJazz Technical Global Symposium (TGS) Korea Summary

June 21, 2012 | 10:00–15:30
Grand InterContinental Hotel, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

TowerJazz's Technical Global Symposium (TGS) Korea commenced with a keynote speech from our CEO, Russell Ellwanger highlighting our latest business achievements and providing an update on our facility in Nishiwaki, Japan to the over 120 participants including our current and potential Korean customers. Next, we provided an overview on our broad range of process offerings including: SiGe, BiCMOS, CMOS image sensor (CIS), power management (BCD), and others. In addition, we shared our design enablement capabilities such as our sophisticated set of design kits, accurate models and comprehensive analog IP portfolio. Our survey results indicated that attendees found our event informational and beneficial. This was our second TGS in Korea, and this year's event was even better attended and more successful than before. This coincides with our mantra as we continue our “Pursuit of Excellence” in every aspect of our business.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their support:

In order to address the growing needs of our customers worldwide, this year we are not only hosting our 7th annual TGS in North America, but also for the first time we will host a TGS in Japan. In the US, we will offer a 2-day event in Newport Beach, CA on October 24–25, 2012 which will not only focus on our commercial offerings but also on our Aerospace & Defense business. We are hosting the event in conjunction with the Air Force Research Laboratory 33rd Annual RHET meeting (Radiation Hardened Electronics Technology) which takes place on October 23–24, 2012.

The TGS Japan event will take place in Tokyo on December 4, 2012 and it will focus on our business strategy since the acquision of the Micron Fab in Nishiwaki and our technology offering to the Asia-Pacific region, and Japan in specific. Over the past year, we have successfully engaged several IDMs and have started several technology transfer projects in the areas of power management, mixed-signal and RF, among others, to continue to win new business opportunities. We are looking forward to emphasizing to Japanese fabless companies and IDMs the local availability of our pure play foundry offerings and commitment to growing our business in the APAC region.
