FORMER QUALCOMM EXECUTIVE NAMED TO JAZZ SEMICONDUCTOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Donald E. Schrock Joins Leading Independent Semiconductor Foundry Team

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct. 29, 2003
-- Jazz Semiconductor has announced technology industry veteran Donald E. Schrock as the newest member of its board of directors. Jazz Semiconductor is an independent semiconductor wafer foundry that specializes in mixed-signal and radio frequency (RF) technologies for use in wireless communications, optical networking, power management and other ultra-high performance applications.

Following a successful 35-year career in the semiconductor industry, Schrock recently retired as executive vice president of QUALCOMM and president of QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies (QCT). Schrock directed the development of complete CDMA and other microelectronic solutions for the wireless market. He is credited with numerous technology and alliance partner achievements that helped to define Qualcomm’s CDMA technology leadership, setting the stage for next-generation wireless innovation.
