
JAZZ SEMICONDUCTOR NAMES DONALD R. BEALL TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., September 02, 2003 - Jazz Semiconductor,
one of the world’s leading independent semiconductor wafer foundries, today
announced that well-known business leader and electronics industry veteran Donald
R. Beall has joined the company’s board of directors.
Jazz Semiconductor will leverage Beall’s extensive business background and
experience as the company continues to expand its leadership position in the IC
foundry industry specializing in mixed signal and RF technologies.

significant asset and will provide us with an added level of expertise and direction
as we continue to map out our growth strategy and enhance our global presence,"

Mr. Beall is a veteran director of major companies including Amoco, ArvinMeritor,
Times Mirror, Procter & Gamble, and Rockwell. He retired from Rockwell in 1998
after serving as chairman/chief executive officer or president for nearly 20 years.
Beall is chairman of the Executive Committee, an advisor to and a director of
Rockwell Collins (avionics and communications). He is also a director of
Conexant Systems, Skyworks Solutions, Mindspeed Technologies, and CT Realty.
He is a trustee of the California Institute of Technology, a member of various
University of California-Irvine supporting organizations, and an overseer of the
Hoover Institute at Stanford University. He is an investor, director and/or advisor
with several venture capital groups, private companies and investment partnerships.
